Android needs better storage management!! 11 months 2 weeks ago #199566

Have you ever noticed how many storage is actually available for use when you buy Android phone? Except on Nokias, Motorolas and some Android One devices, system partitions take enormous amounts of storage. On Huawei and Samsung phones, for example, you are lucky if even half of storage capacity is available for use. On my Huawei P10 Lite with 32GBs of storage, system takes 7,98GB; preinstalled applications take 2,5GB and cache partition takes 4,5GB. That is a huge amount of memory used only for storing bloatware. On Samsung phones, it is even worse. On Nokia phones, for reference, system takes 2GB. Recently I saw post here screaming about preinstalled Facebook. It is not only Facebook, there are dozens of unneeded applications and OEMs duplicate features. If you are (as OEM) going to provide some feature that already exists, first remove original, please do not make duplicates. https://www.minimilitia.mobi/ https://www.applock.ooo/ https://www.7zip.vip/
