A couple months back Facebook messenger stopped supporting it and I just kinda rolled my eyes, that apps been getting worse for years and I've mostly moved to WhatsApp anyway, and there's always those 'bubbles' as a workaround.
Then Inbox stopped supporting it...why? There's no reason I can't write an email while I've got a YouTube video playing. Then today Reddit is fun has been updated and guess what...'this app doesn't support split-screen', oh that's cool, it only did for the last 2 years, why not just scrap usability for no reason I suppose.
Like...do app developers not want me to use their apps? Why take away usability and functionality? I watch YouTube videos while I'm scrolling Reddit, now I can't do that? Is there an app I can get to 'force' split-screen?
I'm assuming it's being taken away because of something to do with usage statistics and getting users to focus on one app at a time, at least, I hope there's a reason. Can anyone enlighten me or feels similarly? And I know I've got an older phone running an older OS so I don't know if that's a part of it.
